Will deliver a talk on Si Janus Sílang at ang Tíyanak ng Tábon at the UP Rural High School in Los Baños, Laguna. The novel is required reading to their Grade 7 and 8 students.
August 6–11
Will be in Iloilo City for the Pambansang Kongreso ng Sálin sponsored by the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino.
August 13
Will attend the launch of Si Janus Sílang at ang Tiyanak ng Tábon sponsored by the Philippine High School for the Arts in Los Baños, Laguna. Expected attendees include teachers and students from other schools in Laguna.
August 18
Will read excerpts from my novels as part of the Kritika Kultura Reading Series, to be held in Ateneo, 4:30 PM.
August 20
Will deliver a talk on fiction writing at La Salle Araneta University.
August 23–25
Will be one of the panelists for the 20th Ateneo Heights Writers Workshop to be held in Calamba, Laguna.
August 28
Will deliver a talk on the uses of research in creative writing as part of the Conference on Research, to be held in Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
August 30
Will deliver a talk on the creative process at Tarlac State University; some classes have Si Janus Sílang at ang Tiyanak ng Tabon as required reading.
August 31–September 4
Will be in Bukidnon for Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino’s Sulong! Dangal ng Filipino; will deliver a lecture on “Masinop na Pagsulat.”
